So im not really sure what is going on with me lately. I have been overly depressed for a few months and i just dont know if it is depression or just me being sad right now. I mean there are a few things that could cause me to be sad lately, however i also feel sad whenever i think about anyone who has lost someone. Someone at my school had their brother pass away lately and it caused me to break into tears even though i never knew her. Also i can not stop imagining my parents, brother and sister dying and it gets so sad. I am sometimes sitting in class and i dont do anything the whole time because i am so zoned out on being sad and imagining different situations where my loved ones die that i just can not focus. Could this be depression, should i be concerned or do you think it is most likely just stuff going on around me causing me to be sad… please help me if you can and let me know. I am also scarred to seek help because i dont want to talk about why im sad…

My friend’s mom is badly addicted to painkillers such as narcotics, Vicodin, etc and she wants to get help BADLY! She was in a bad accident years ago, and that’s how she got addicted. She has it bad enough where she’s buying pills from other people at $ 5 a pill.
I was wondering if anyone knows where to get a list of rehab centers in Illinois around the Chicago area? She’s looking for a place that is cheap enough since she has no insurance, but which also gives something else to the patients to help with the addiction, instead of just cutting them off completely. Help would be greatly appreciated

they also say that 9 out of 10 people in the western world take some form of medicine or vitamin suppliment a huge jump from 50 years ago when it was 1 out of 10 people.

I don’t do illegal drugs, never have, and never will, but I do take medicine and vitamin supplements.

My wife is in therapy for a sleeping pill addiction and I am not happy with the progress that they are making in therapy. I wont to be able to talk intelligently with her about my concerns and possibly have some other option that would be more productive. My wife has not been evaluated with any test I am concerned that the therapist may not know how sever the addiction may be. She is a function addict with a job and every thing that everybody elts dose. It seams that the therapist is giving her unconditional positive regard and my wife seem to be feeding in to it with the theory that things are going grate in realty she had a small relapse just one month ago. I have read a little about Roger theory off and think that this might be the case here. I would like to request a Michigan drug dependency test. What is you though and advise I do not wont to change therapist because we have already done that once. Do you know of any websites that I might be able to read up on addiction therapy? The therapist now won’t to work on our marriage and I think that is totally the wrong direction because I think the addiction is what should be concentrated on. Please any advice would be great and if you have canceling experiences please let me know!!
