Im 17 and Looking to Gain Muscle Weight?
Question by John O’neill: Im 17 and looking to gain muscle weight?
I’m 17, almost 18, and i’m quite small , around 5.7,
and my BMI is around 21.3 , so im skinny, and i want to gain pounds in muslce, but i do not know what the right way is to do so.
do i firstly need to gain fat, then start to do workouts to change that into muscle?
for the past two months i’ve been doing lots of crunches and pushups , is that pointless if im not gaining weight first?
help please.

it depends on how much you eat. do you eat alot? 5 to 6 meals a day perhaps? breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea time, dinner, supper? take your protein shakes after your workout. i have the same situation as you, was 5ft 7, skinny,16. i start to eat alot and work out at the same time. 4 to 5 meals a day, dont have time to eat 6 meals a day lol. hit the gym and play some sports. i’m 18 going 19 now. well, i definitely could tell you i’m bigger now and grown abit taller 5ft8 and half. hope this helps and all the best.
