Question by steve paisley: If you recover from your drug addiction, are you still a junkie?
My best friend used to be addicted to drugs, but went through rehab and revelations and is now sober. But he says he is still a junkie. I don’t understand. I know he definitely doesn’t do drugs anymore. Can he still legitimately be considered a junkie?

No you can’t be because a junkie is someone that does it alot and at an excess.

he would be considered a recovering “junkie” or addict. Most people that are sober say that they never completely recover and that they are always continually recovering!
